Description
The Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W from Epson is designed to eliminate the final remnants of physical office paperwork. It’s a fully functional A4 desktop scanner that won’t shy away from copying forgotten scraps of paper. Scanning over the network, via email, or to the cloud is possible thanks to a tiny LCD comparable to Epson’s multifunction printers. Epson Scan 2, the same as my Epson multifunction printer, is used by the RapidReceipt.
The Epson RR-600W scanned a 25-page one-sided text document at 39.6ppm and a 25-page two-sided text document at 78.4ipm, which is somewhat quicker than Epson’s recommendations. This scanner series, like most scanners nowadays, fared admirably in OCR accuracy testing. It scanned our Arial test page and turned it to editable text with no errors down to 5 points, and it also converted our Times New Roman test page to editable text with no errors down to 6 points.

The scanner was simple to set up. The provided USB Type-A cable or a Wi-Fi network can be used to connect to the Epson RR-600W device. A wired network connection is not possible since there is no Ethernet connector. It was simple to connect to the wireless network. WPS or a manual network connection setup are both choices. The scanner comes with a set of software that may be downloaded from the Epson website in updated versions. You may also download the entire manual, which is better than the quickstart handbook that came with the equipment.
